The Oldest Material Ever Known on Earth is Now Discovered. It is 7 Billion Years Old!!

Murchison, a town in Victoria State, Australia, is presently upbeat. In fact, they should be, for Murchison has only just entered history as a result of a meteorite that landed on the town 50 years ago.

A groundbreaking research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on January 13, 2020, revealed the oldest substance on Earth, which is stardust trapped in a meteorite.

The narrative begins with a star that predates our solar system. Our Sun, by the way, is just 4.6 billion years old. When a star dies, the gas and dust that made it drift into space, and the leftovers of a dying star are captured in meteorites.

These "presolar grains" preserved in this meteorite will offer scientists with a detailed picture of events prior to the creation of the solar system. Scientists saw presolar grains as a valuable treasure or a time machine.

Researchers Found an Indicator of Severity of COVID-19. Soluble Circulating Protein May Be the Clue.

A new study published on April 30, 2020 in Journal Critical Care   indicated that the protein soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR) may assist researchers anticipate who is likely to have more severe COVID-19 symptoms. In other words, suPAR may be regarded as a proxy measure of COVID-19 severity. The researchers examined data from 57 patients at Greece's University of Athens Medical School and 5 COVID-19 patients at Rush University Medical Center. They discovered that patients with greater amounts of suPAR in their blood needed intubation sooner than individuals with lower levels of suPAR. This is the first publication to suggest that suPAR is higher in COVID-19 and may be indicative of COVID-19 severity.
